Terms of Service | FacetEdu

These terms apply to the use of FacetEdu, a school management platform operated by Facet Software Solutions Ltd, Lagos, Nigeria (“FacetEdu”, “we”). By registering a school or using an account, you agree to them. If you register on behalf of a school, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.

1. Accounts

Keep your login details secure and don't share accounts; you are responsible for activity under your account.
The school owner controls who has access to the school's account and should remove staff who leave.
Give accurate information, including a working email address.

2. Fees and billing

FacetEdu bills schools once per term on its billing calendar, at the price shown on our pricing page, based on the highest number of active students during the term.
A school's first billing term is free, and schools with 20 or fewer active students are not charged for that term.
If a school adds students after paying for a term, a top-up invoice is raised for the additional students only, at the same price per student.
Invoices are due within 14 days. If an invoice stays unpaid after its due date, the school's account becomes read-only until it is paid - no data is deleted.
We may change prices for future terms with reasonable notice.

3. Your school's data

Each school owns the records it puts into FacetEdu and is responsible for having the right to record them, including any consent needed from parents or guardians. We handle that data as described in our Privacy Policy, only to provide the service to the school.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

break the law, or upload content you have no right to share;
send spam or messages guardians haven't agreed to receive;
try to access another school's data, or test, probe or disrupt the platform's security;
resell, copy or reverse-engineer FacetEdu.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

5. Service availability

We work to keep FacetEdu available and your data safe, and we back it up regularly, but the service is provided “as is” and we can't promise it will never be interrupted. We may update and improve features over time.

6. Liability

To the extent the law allows, FacetEdu is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees the school paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

7. Ending use

A school can stop using FacetEdu at any time. The owner can download all of the school's data from Settings, and ask us to delete it. We may close accounts that break these terms or stay unpaid, after giving notice where reasonable.

8. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We may update them; the date at the top shows the latest version. Questions: info@facetedu.com.
